Our Dentists

New Jersey dentists Dr. Scott Silver and Dr. Bruce Silver have considerable training and offer comprehensive dental services, from cosmetic dentistry and porcelain veneers to integrated holistic dentistry and dental laser treatments. Silver Dental has been offering oral care with beautiful results to the South Jersey community since 1947.


Scott Silver, DMD is a 1982 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He graduated in 1977 from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences. He serves as an attending physician at Cooper Medical Center in Camden.


Dr. Scott was raised in Haddon Township and is a 1973 graduate of Haddon Township High School. He and his wife, Beth, have two daughters, Melissa and Meredith.


In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis and is a certified tennis instructor. He loves music, playing the trumpet, and enjoys stereo and video electronics.


Dr. Scott joined his father’s practice in Haddon Township in 1982, and has been practicing at that location ever since.




Bruce Silver, DMD is a 1987 graduate of the Temple University School of Dentistry. His undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences, was awarded by Rutgers University in 1983. He serves as an attending instructor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Philadelphia.


Dr. Bruce also grew up in Haddon Township and is a 1979 graduate of Haddon Township High School. He and his wife, Julie, have two children, Jennifer and Zachary. Like his brother, he enjoys tennis and music. But he does not play the trumpet. He does enjoy playing with computers (Apple and PC!) and video electronics.


Dr. Bruce began his dental career as a volunteer dentist in Israel. He has been practicing in Burlington County since January, 1988, first in Beverly, and since 1992, at our present location on Mount Holly Road in Burlington Township.                        




Dr. Marvin Silver, DDS our father and founder, practiced dentistry in Haddon Township for 58 years. (That’s a lot of fillings!) He graduated in 1945 from Temple University Dental School and before that, from Collingswood High School. He served in the Army in Korea from 1946 to 1947, achieving the rank of Captain. He and his wife, Claire, had four children and six grandchildren. He enjoyed swimming, weekends at the Jersey shore, playing tennis, listening to music, and just having a good time in Haddon Township, where he lived from 1932 until his death in 2005, at age 82. He was blessed with good health for most of those years, and a sunny disposition for all of them. He is greatly missed!




Our Philosophy


At Silver Dental, the doctors strive to practice dentistry with the style and grace they learned from their father, the late Dr. Marvin Silver. They take very seriously the science and craft of their profession. But they believe, as he believed, that you have to enjoy your work (and your workplace!) or you won’t be able to do it well, year after year. So they pursue continuing professional education, hire and train capable staff, and equip their offices with the latest technology, all to ensure their patients the highest standards of care. At the same time, they cultivate a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in their offices.
